La Rosa is a wonderland of nostalgia, where cupcakes and chrome caravans make staying at this campsite a unique experience. Each of the vans, trucks and tipis are decked out in trappings from times past in a site of nearly 20 acres in the North Yorkshire National Park. The site is low impact through use of oil lamps and fairy lights and a converted shepherd’s hut makes for a first class vintage compost toilet. A reclaimed byre has been turned into the shower block and the site limits its occupancy to avoid overcrowding. Arrive by way of the North Yorkshire Railway for a completed trip down memory lane.
