Rosehill Lodges

Location: Cornwall, UK
Type
: Cabin

Sheltered beneath broad leaved woodland on the Atlantic coast in Cornwall, Rosehill Lodges are top-notch for their location and eco credentials. The surrounding woodland is a draw for wildlife and birds of all sizes. The large glass covered decking is a perfect spot to gaze at the wildlife activity by day, or to the stars by night. The lodges were hand built locally by Porthtowan craftsmen using sustainable materials such as bamboo flooring and Cornish larch cladding. Log burners and solar water panels provide winter warmth. And a clever combination of grass roof tops, lava rock and recycled newspaper ensures the heat is kept in or out depending on the time of year. A Blue Flag sandy beach is within walking distance along with village pubs and restaurants, so there’s little need for a car.
